Sky reads live ADS-B transponder broadcasts and names the aircraft above you, matching each contact to its guide in the 4,893-entry catalogue. Tap a contact for the type's silhouette, WEFT breakdown, specifications and live flight data — altitude, heading, speed and the route where it is known.

It is keyless and free — no account and no paid API. ADS-B feeds come from open community networks; the recognition catalogue itself works offline once loaded, so you can still read a type's guide with no signal.
