AircraftIQ is a field guide to the aircraft you can see overhead. It holds 4,893 recognition guides, each built around the WEFT method — Wings, Engines, Fuselage, Tail — with a plan-view silhouette, verified specifications and field notes on where the type is seen. Alongside the guides, live tools read open ADS-B feeds to name what is above you: Sky, Identify and the live map.
AircraftIQ is a product of IQ Labs.
Every entry's specifications and recognition notes are compiled and cross-checked at authoring time, then adversarially audited — deliberately read against the data to catch errors, ambiguous types and mislabelled variants. Figures are given for a representative variant of each type; individual marks differ, and the guides say so where it matters.
We do not claim to mirror any single named third-party database, and we hold no credentials beyond the care taken in the work. Where a figure is uncertain it is omitted rather than invented.
Corrections are welcome. If a figure or a recognition note looks wrong, get in touch via IQ Labs and it will be checked against the sources and fixed.
