The AEG C.III was a refined development of the AEG C.I, offering somewhat improved performance with a lighter structure. It continued the AEG tradition of sturdy two-seat reconnaissance biplanes for WWI German service.

History

Entering service in 1915, the C.III refined the C.I design with a shorter, lighter fuselage and uprated engine. It operated alongside the C.I in German Air Service units on multiple fronts.
