WEFT is AircraftIQ's four-point recognition method — how it works.
Spot it by:
- High-wing layout
- Tricycle undercarriage, unusual for the maker
- Single-engine utility aircraft with three passenger seats
It kept the high-wing configuration of earlier Aero Boero types but, unlike them, had a tricycle undercarriage.

History
It had a fuel-injected Continental IO-360 engine for better performance. The prototype first flew on 22 April 1971.
Variants
The aircraft was later fitted with a Lycoming O-540 and redesignated AB-260, and a second example was built to that standard.
