WEFT is AircraftIQ's four-point recognition method — how it works.
Spot it by:
- Open-cockpit biplane flying boat with an aluminium hull
- Single tractor engine centre-mounted in a nacelle on the top wing
- Upper wing staggered well forward of the lower wing
Look for a small biplane flying boat with an engine nacelle on the top wing, a forward-staggered upper wing and aluminium tip floats.

History
It was designed as an updated replacement for the Aeromarine Model 44 for Earl Dodge Osborn. Osborn made the first flight tests in June 1924.
Variants
It was developed from the Aeromarine AMC, and its aluminium hull was scaled down from that design. Only one was built.
Where you'll see it
The sole EO was used for demonstration flights for the EDO company and changed owners several times. Its registration was cancelled on 21 January 1932.
