History

After the J/1B Aiglet agricultural aircraft, Auster developed a more powerful successor. It used the strengthened basic Autocrat fuselage with dorsal fin fillets, low-pressure tyres and a 180 hp Avco Lycoming engine.

Variants

The Workmaster was the more powerful successor to the J/1B Aiglet; an extra seat was provided for a passenger.

Where you'll see it

Britten-Norman rotary atomisers were fitted for crop spraying, and Crop Culture ordered nine. The Workmasters mainly operated in West Africa, and three later returned to the UK civil register.
