History
Aviatik, a German-Austrian manufacturer, produced several D-type fighter prototypes in 1917–18 to compete with Fokker, Albatros, and Pfalz. The D.VII was evaluated at the Adlershof fighter competitions but the Fokker D.VII was preferred. Only prototype(s) were built.
