The BAe 146-200 is the 2.39 m stretched variant over the -100 and the most commercially successful of the family, seating up to 100 passengers on short-haul routes.

History

First flown in 1982, the -200 attracted the bulk of 146 orders from carriers including TNT's freight operation, Ansett, and numerous US regional airlines operating it as a quiet 'whisperjet'.

Variants

The QT (Quiet Trader) freighter variant of the -200 was successful for TNT; the Avro RJ85 is the updated -200 with FADEC and AlliedSignal LF507 engines.
