The Cessna CW-6 was one of Clyde Cessna's early cantilever high-wing monoplanes produced in the late 1920s, before the famous 170/172 family. It featured an unbraced (cantilever) parasol wing, which was a hallmark of Cessna's early design philosophy.

History
Clyde Cessna was a firm advocate of cantilever wing construction and produced a series of high-wing monoplanes in the 1920s that proved the concept. The CW-6 (Cessna-Wright No.6) was produced around 1928 when Cessna briefly partnered with others before establishing the Cessna Aircraft Company definitively. These early designs established the high-wing cantilever formula that Cessna would develop throughout the following decades.

The CW series included several related models; the CW-6 was one variant in this family of cantilever high-wing monoplanes. Exact production numbers were small.
