History
They were designed by Graham Lee of Lamont, Alberta, and the Nieuport 11 prototype first flew in July 1984. It was among the earliest First World War replicas available.
Variants
The Nieuport 11 is a single-seat replica of the French Nieuport 11. The two-seat Nieuport 12 copies the observation aircraft and first flew in 1989.
Where you'll see it
Over 325 Nieuport 11s had been built by 2003, and plans for over 1,200 sets had been sold by 2015. The Nieuport 11 won Grand Champion Light Plane at Oshkosh in 1989.
