The Dornier Do P was a secret four-engined heavy bomber built for Germany's clandestine rearmament in defiance of the Treaty of Versailles.

History
Construction began in July 1929 and the prototype first flew on 31 March 1930, with paired tractor-and-pusher Siemens Jupiter engines mounted in twin overwing nacelles. It was evaluated at the covert German flight-test facility at Lipetsk in the Soviet Union alongside other banned military types.
Variants
The Do P's layout and lessons fed directly into the Dornier Do 11, the bomber that followed it into what became the open Luftwaffe rearmament programme.
Where you'll see it
As a secret prototype the Do P never entered squadron service and no example survives; it is documented mainly through German air ministry records.
