History
First flown in 1983, the Extra 230 was Walter Extra's debut design and established the Extra brand as a world leader in aerobatic aircraft. It competed successfully in World Aerobatic Championships and was the forerunner of the Extra 300 series.
Variants
The Extra 230 led directly to the two-seat Extra 300 and the single-seat Extra 330; subsequent Extra designs have continued to dominate aerobatic competition.
