History
Until 1923 Gabardini had built only instructional aircraft. The G.8 was its first venture into military trainer or fighter production.
Variants
The trainer was unarmed with a 140 hp Hispano-Suiza 8A; the fighter had two Vickers guns and a 200 hp engine; the G.8bis had a 180 hp Hispano-Suiza HS 34 and side radiators.
Where you'll see it
The Regia Aeronautica placed no production order, and Gabardini kept all the G.8 aircraft for instruction at its flying school at Cameri.
