The Horten H.V was a powered flying-wing aircraft built by the Horten brothers in Germany, one of their early designs exploring the all-wing concept that would culminate in the jet-powered Ho 229.

History
First flown in 1937, the H.V used a small engine driving a pusher propeller buried in the wing centre-section; it provided the brothers with crucial data on flying-wing stability and control before World War II.
Variants
A series of Horten designs preceded and followed the H.V; the H.VI was a pure glider variant, while the H.IX (Ho 229) was the jet-powered successor.
