The Ae 270 Spirit is a pressurised single-engine turboprop utility and business aircraft, developed by Aero Vodochody of the Czech Republic with Taiwan's AIDC through the Ibis Aerospace joint venture.

History
The first prototype flew on 25 July 2000, offering a modern all-metal design in the busy single-turboprop class. Certification followed in the mid-2000s, though production remained modest.
Variants
The main version was the Propjet powered by a Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A, with an unpressurised fixed-gear derivative also studied. Corporate, cargo and utility interiors were offered.
Where you'll see it
Marketed for business, air taxi and utility work in Europe and Asia, the type saw only limited sales and modest UK presence. It competed against established rivals such as the Pilatus PC-12.
