Recognition (WEFT)
| W — Wings | High-mounted, straight |
|---|---|
| E — Engines | 1 × none, embedded-mounted |
| F — Fuselage | 7.3 m fuselage |
| T — Tail | T-tail |
WEFT is AircraftIQ's four-point recognition method — how it works.
Spot it by:
- Shoulder-mounted wing on a single-seat sailplane
- T-tail with a fixed stabiliser and elevator
- Hütter-type airbrakes on the upper wing surface only
Look for the T-tail, retractable gear and airbrakes that sit on the upper wing surface only.
Specifications
- The ICA IS-29 has a length of 7.3 m (24 ft).
- It has a wingspan of 15 m (49 ft).
- Its maximum speed is 225 km/h (140 mph).
- Typical crew: 1.
