History

Jurca was convinced by friends and potential customers to design a side-by-side aircraft. It is a development of the wooden Jurca MJ-5 Sirocco with a new trapezoidal wing based on the MJ-7 Gnatsum, and both prototypes made their first flights in 1992.

Variants

Two prototypes were built, both with retractable landing gear and Lycoming O-360 engines of 180 hp. In 1998 Jurca studied a four-seat development, the MJ-58, but nothing came of it.

Where you'll see it

Two prototypes were built and the design was offered as plans for amateur construction.
