Recognition (WEFT)
| W — Wings | High-mounted, straight |
|---|---|
| E — Engines | 1 × piston, wing-mounted |
| F — Fuselage | 7.5 m fuselage |
| T — Tail | Conventional |
WEFT is AircraftIQ's four-point recognition method — how it works.
Spot it by:
- Cantilever parasol wing with the main wheels directly below it
- Pusher engine on the centreline at the rear of the wing
- Tandem open cockpit and a conventional tail on a boom below the propeller arc
Look for a parasol-wing sport aircraft with a pusher engine at the rear of the wing and a tail carried on a boom.

History
Frederick Koolhoven designed it for Nationale Vliegtuig Industrie, but when that company folded he built it as the first product of his own company. The wing, including its engine, could be pivoted 90 degrees on the ground for easier storage and transport.
Variants
Only the single prototype was built.
Where you'll see it
It failed to attract buyers and Koolhoven himself was the only person to fly it. It was sold to Clifford B. Harmon but he never took possession, and the aircraft was scrapped.
