History

It first flew in February 1925 and carried six passengers in an enclosed cabin. It was significantly underpowered and could not maintain flight on a single engine.

Variants

One aircraft became the Latécoère 15H, a seaplane on pontoons trialled between Alicante and Oran, then converted back. A third prototype was developed as the Latécoère 19 bomber.

Where you'll see it

Ten were built. Pilot Didier Daurat refused to fly it on the Dakar route, so they served on the Oran-Casablanca route and short feeder routes into Casablanca until withdrawn between 1926 and 1929.
