History
It was a strengthened and enlarged version of the Latécoère 23, a parasol-wing monoplane with sponsons for stability in the water and two engines in tandem push-pull configuration on the wing.
Variants
The original Latécoère 32 had Farman 12We engines. The remotorised Latécoère 32-3 had 500 hp Hispano-Suiza 12Hbr engines.
Where you'll see it
Eight were built. They flew the Marseille-Algiers and Toulouse-Algiers routes and proved most unreliable, with a number of accidents. At the end of 1931 the five survivors were re-engined as the Latécoère 32-3, which persisted in service a little longer.
