History
Sébastien Lefebvre conceived it, and LH Aviation was founded in May 2004. It first flew in 2007. The design follows the Bede BD-5 configuration but is longer, more streamlined and lighter.
Variants
The Grand Duc is the surveillance version, with an autopilot, night-flying equipment, GPS, satellite communications and a camera.
Where you'll see it
Benin ordered two Grand Ducs to monitor its coastline, the first of which was delivered in late 2012. By 2018 none were operational.
