The Lockspeiser LDA-01 was a British canard utility aircraft designed in the late 1960s by David Lockspeiser to provide short-field performance and simplicity for operations in developing countries.

History
First flown in 1971, the LDA-01 was a pusher-configuration canard monoplane with a high wing and fixed undercarriage, intended as a rugged replacement for the de Havilland Beaver in remote-area roles. Despite successful flight testing, the project did not attract the backing needed for production.
Variants
The LDA-01 flew in a single prototype configuration; a production LDA-02 was proposed with a more powerful engine but was not built.
