History
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries developed the MH2000 as a private venture, flying the prototype in 1996 with two home-designed MG5 turboshafts. Only a small number were built before production ended.
Variants
The MH2000 was offered in a general utility form and studied for corporate and emergency-services use, but limited sales meant few sub-variants emerged. Its indigenous engines were a key selling point and a point of technical pride.
Where you'll see it
Sales were very limited, with examples used in Japan for corporate and rescue tasks; the type had no UK service, where light twins such as the AW109 and EC135 fill similar roles.
