History
Indonesian Aerospace (then IPTN) began licensed production of the SA 330 Puma in the 1970s as part of Indonesia's ambition to develop a domestic aerospace industry under B.J. Habibie. The NAS 330J designation denotes the locally assembled variant with Turbomeca Turmo engines. Production helped build Indonesian aerospace manufacturing capability that later supported more advanced programmes.
Variants
The NAS 330 family mirrors the French SA 330 series; the J suffix indicates the final Puma production standard with uprated Turmo IVC engines.
