History
It was designed by Bronis Oškinis in 1981 and built by Česlovas Kisonas and K. Rinkevičius at the Kaunas hang gliding club. It was meant to replace the BRO-11M (LAK-2) and first flew in 1981.
Variants
In 1982 the prototype was motorised as the BROK-1M, with a 25 hp pusher engine above the rear of the wing.
Where you'll see it
One took part in the 2nd World Championship, an Eastern European gliding contest, where it showed improvements over earlier Soviet primary gliders. Both aircraft were still airworthy in 2015.
