The Tazarve is an Iranian all-composite tandem-seat jet trainer intended for basic through lead-in fighter training, powered by a de-rated ex-F-5 turbojet.

Look for a small tandem two-seat jet with a straight mid-set wing and a single conventional tail. A single General Electric J85, taken from the F-5 line, is fed by side intakes. The stepped tandem canopy resembles other classic jet trainers.

History
It grew out of the long-running Ya-Hossein trainer effort, following the piston Dorna and the turbojet Tondar demonstrators. The definitive Tazarve airframe first flew in early 2001 and was shown publicly at the Kish airshow in 2002. Its carbon and glass-fibre structure was ambitious for an Iranian programme of the period.
Variants
The Tazarve was the mature design in a lineage running Dorna, Tondar, then Tazarve. The programme effectively stalled after a fatal parade crash in 2007, with surviving airframes placed in storage. Later Iranian trainers such as the Yasin are separate developments.
Where you'll see it
There is no UK connection; the aircraft was evaluated by the Iranian air force but never entered meaningful series service. It remained an indigenous capability demonstrator. Its role was ultimately superseded by newer domestic trainer projects.
