The Pfalz E-series were German World War I Eindeckers (monoplanes) manufactured by Pfalz Flugzeugwerke, closely based on the Morane-Saulnier parasol monoplane layout. They were among the early German single-seat fighters to carry synchronised forward-firing armament.

History
Pfalz produced licensed copies and derivatives of the Morane-Saulnier Type H and L from around 1915, designating them E.I through E.VI. Though never as prominent as the Fokker Eindeckers, they served with German units on the Western Front during the Fokker Scourge period. They were outclassed by the emergence of Allied biplane fighters by 1916.
Variants
The series ran from E.I to E.VI, with progressive engine changes and minor airframe refinements; the E.IV used a more powerful engine.
