The Potez 23 was a French single-seat biplane fighter prototype of 1923, developed in response to the C.1 single-seat fighter requirement but not selected for production.

History
Built by Potez as a derivative of the earlier Potez XV reconnaissance-bomber, the Type 23 competed unsuccessfully for the C.1 fighter contract. Only one example was constructed; experience gained fed into the highly successful Potez 25 two-seater.
