The Renard R.35 was a Belgian twin-engine medium bomber design of the late 1930s, reflecting the Belgian aviation industry's ambition to field a competitive indigenous combat aircraft on the eve of the Second World War. Its 435 km/h maximum speed was competitive for the period.

History
Designed by the Ateliers de Construction Renard and first flown in 1938, the R.35 was Belgium's response to the growing military aviation programmes of its neighbours. Development was overtaken by events — Germany's invasion of Belgium in May 1940 ended any prospect of production. The project was among several promising European designs destroyed in embryo by the war.
