History
Hanno Fischer designed it to test his aerodynamic principles. The 65 hp Porsche engine was buried in the centre fuselage, with a retractable tricycle undercarriage and a high aspect ratio wing.
Variants
The RW 3C-90 Passat was a higher-powered version, and optional wingtip extensions increased the span from 34 ft 9 in to 50 ft 6 in so it could fly as a power-assisted sailplane.
Where you'll see it
Rhein Flugzeugbau built 22 Multoplans, and one further example was built by an amateur. Two remained on the German register in 2009.
