The Rolladen-Schneider LS4 is a high-performance German 15-metre standard-class fibreglass sailplane that became one of the most successful and widely flown competition gliders of its generation. It offers an excellent glide ratio and docile handling.

History
First flown in 1980, the LS4 was immediately successful in competition, winning numerous national and international championships. Over 1,000 examples were built, making it one of the best-selling gliders in history.
Variants
Variants include the LS4 (original), LS4a, and LS4b with minor aerodynamic and structural refinements; the LS4b added reinforced wing roots and minor cockpit improvements.
