History
Developed from Black Hawk technology, Sikorsky's S-92 first flew in 1998 and entered service in 2004 as a civil medium-lift type. It became a mainstay of long-range offshore transport and has been adopted for VIP and SAR roles.

Where you'll see it
A familiar sight over the North Sea, S-92s fly oil-and-gas crews to platforms from Aberdeen and have served in UK search-and-rescue contracts, sharing offshore duties with the AW139 and AW189.
