The TsAGI 2-EA was a Soviet experimental helicopter developed at the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute as the second in a series of rotary-wing research vehicles, following the 1-EA. It continued the investigation of coaxial rotor configurations for vertical flight.

History
Built in the late 1920s and flying in 1930, the 2-EA incorporated lessons learned from the 1-EA and achieved somewhat improved performance. The TsAGI helicopter programme was a significant part of early Soviet rotary-wing research that eventually contributed to the Kamov and Mil design bureaux.

The 2-EA was part of a series (1-EA, 2-EA) of TsAGI experimental helicopters; subsequent designs in the programme were substantially different.
