The Tupolev Tu-110 was a four-engine development of the Tu-104 intended to provide greater range and capacity, with four turbojets embedded in the wing roots instead of the twin-pod arrangement. It remained a prototype and did not enter production.

History
Derived from the Tu-104 airliner, the Tu-110 first flew in 1957 with four Dobrynin VD-7 turbojets buried in the wing roots. Aeroflot showed limited interest, preferring to develop the proven Tu-104, and only a handful of aircraft were built.
Variants
Only prototype and pre-production examples were completed; no production variants entered service.
Where you'll see it
The Tu-110 never entered airline service; the small number of airframes were used for trials and research before being retired.
