The P.68 Observer is a special-mission version of the Partenavia and Vulcanair P.68 light twin, distinguished by an extensively glazed nose for surveillance work.

History
The parent P.68 Victor first flew in 1970 as a clean high-wing piston twin. Vulcanair took over the type certificate in the late 1990s and continues production, including the Observer patrol variants. The glazed nose adapts the airframe for observation.
Variants
The Observer line runs through the Observer 2 and the turbocharged P.68TC Observer. The wider P.68 family includes the Victor, C and R models and the turboprop AP.68TP A-Viator. Mission fits add sensors, cameras and radar for patrol roles.
Where you'll see it
The P.68 has some UK presence with civil survey and law-enforcement operators, though there is no RAF service. Internationally it is popular with police, border and environmental agencies. Its economy and endurance suit long observation sorties.
