History

The SB-10 first flew on 22 July 1972 and used the wings of the earlier SB-9 Stratus. Its wing centre section, main spar and 8 m long wing shells were made of carbon fibre, a first in civil aircraft structure manufacturing.

Variants

Only one was built. The wingtips are interchangeable, and two types can be fitted to give a span of 26 m or 29 m.

Where you'll see it

The sailplane was built by students as a one-off and was not intended for production.
