The Alisport Silent 2 is a high-performance Italian single-seat touring motorglider in the 13-metre wingspan class, built from carbon fibre for light weight and excellent glide performance. Some variants carry a small retractable sustainer engine.

History

Developed by Alisport in Italy, the Silent series began in the late 1990s and the Silent 2 represents an evolution with improved aerodynamics and a slightly larger wingspan. It has been popular in European gliding circles for cross-country soaring.

Variants

The Silent 2 Electro features an electric sustainer motor; the basic Silent 2 is a pure glider.
