The Adam A500 is a twin-piston light aircraft using a push-pull centerline-thrust layout and twin tail booms to combine twin-engine safety with benign single-engine handling.

Unmistakable are the centerline push-pull engines with a propeller in the nose and another behind the cabin pod, the twin tail booms extending aft from the wing, and the high horizontal stabiliser joining the two fins as an H-tail.

History
First flown in 2002, the A500 was designed by Adam Aircraft around a carbon-composite airframe with one tractor engine in the nose and one pusher engine behind the cabin. Certification was achieved but the company entered financial difficulty and ceased production later in the decade, so only a small number were built.
Variants
The piston A500 shared much of its airframe with the intended A700 AdamJet, a very light twinjet development that did not reach production.
Where you'll see it
The A500 was a US general-aviation product with limited civil sales and no UK operators, remaining a rare sight anywhere.
