History
Portugal selected the Chipmunk as its standard basic trainer, with OGMA producing aircraft locally in the early 1950s to meet the Força Aérea Portuguesa's requirements; the aircraft served for many years alongside British-built examples.
Variants
The Mk 20 is essentially identical to the RAF T.10 in configuration; subsequent export marks (Mk 21, 22) introduced minor equipment changes for different operators.
Where you'll see it
The Mk 20 served exclusively with the Portuguese Air Force as its primary pilot trainer, with some aircraft surviving into the 1970s before replacement by jet trainers.
