History
Robin Aircraft developed the DR 300 family in the early 1970s as successors to the Jodel-derived DR 200 series, introducing a more modern profile with a sliding canopy. The 125 Petit Prince variant used the 125 hp Lycoming O-235 engine, making it economical for flying clubs. Several hundred were built for the French and export markets.
Variants
The DR 300 family spanned engine options from 108 to 160 hp; the 125 Petit Prince sits in the middle of the range alongside the 140 and 160 variants.
Where you'll see it
Widely used by French aero clubs and found in small numbers across Europe; a stalwart of French civil aviation training.
