The Embraer EMB 111 is a Brazilian maritime patrol and search-and-rescue variant of the EMB 110 Bandeirante, equipped with search radar and modified for coastal surveillance operations.

History
Developed to meet Brazilian Air Force requirements for an affordable maritime patrol aircraft using the indigenous Bandeirante airframe, the EMB 111 entered service in the late 1970s and proved a cost-effective solution for a nation with extensive coastline.

The EMB 111A introduced further sensor enhancements; the basic Bandeirante family spawned numerous military and civil variants.
