AIDC XC-2

The AIDC XC-2 was a twin-turboprop military utility transport developed by Taiwan's Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation as an indigenous short-range transport. It was designed to reduce Taiwan's dependence on imported military aircraft.

History
Developed in the late 1970s, the XC-2 first flew in 1978 and demonstrated Taiwan's growing aeronautical engineering capacity. The programme did not advance to full production, serving primarily as a technology demonstrator.
Variants
Only a prototype was completed; no production variants followed.
Where you'll see it
Evaluated by the Republic of China Air Force but not adopted for operational service; the type remained a one-off demonstrator.
