The Extra 330 is a single-seat unlimited aerobatic monoplane built for world championship-level competition, offering an extraordinary roll rate and unlimited structural load limits. It has been flown to multiple World Aerobatic Championship titles.

Identified by the very short, wide wing chord giving a stumpy look compared to the Extra 300, the large spinner, single-seat bubble canopy, and the conventional tail with a broad fin. Compare the 330SC's reduced span to the full 300.

History
First flown in 1998, the Extra 330 was Walter Extra's dedicated unlimited single-seater, developed from the Extra 300S. The 330SC (Short Chord) introduced a shorter-span wing for an even faster roll rate, and the 330LT added a two-seat version for training and formation.
Variants
The 330S is the standard single-seater; the 330SC has a reduced-span wing; the 330LT is a two-seat long-wing variant for training. The 330SX is a competition development with further aerodynamic refinements.
Where you'll see it
The aircraft of choice for European unlimited aerobatic champions; Red Bull Air Race competitors and BAeA national team members frequently fly the Extra 330SC or 330LT.
