The Fieseler Fi 5 was the first commercially successful aircraft from Gerhard Fieseler's newly founded works, a two-seat sport and touring monoplane.

History
First flown in February 1933 as the F 5, it kept the fabric-covered steel-tube fuselage of Fieseler's earlier F 4 but introduced a new two-spar cantilever wing, and was powered by a Hirth HM 60 engine. It helped establish Fieseler's reputation before the company became better known for the Fi 156 Storch.
Variants
The Fi 5 was developed alongside other early Fieseler sportplanes such as the F 4 and the later Fi 97, sharing construction methods across the range.
Where you'll see it
As an early-1930s German sportplane, no complete Fi 5 is known to survive today; it is documented through period factory records and photographs.
