The Fokker F28 Fellowship was a twin-engined short-haul jet airliner that filled the market between large jets and turboprops, becoming a major commercial success for Fokker and widely used by regional and national carriers from the late 1960s through the 1990s.

History
First flown in May 1967, the F28 entered service with Braathens SAFE in 1969. It was developed in six main variants with differing fuselage lengths and wing configurations. The Mk 6000 combined the Mk 2000's stretched fuselage with the Mk 5000's extended-span wings for improved hot-and-high performance.
Variants
The F28 family spanned Mk 1000 (original) through Mk 6000, with odd numbers indicating standard fuselage variants and even numbers indicating the long-fuselage versions; the design evolved into the Fokker 100 with CFM56 engines.
Where you'll see it
F28s served with over 50 airlines worldwide, with particular prominence in the Netherlands, Scandinavia, South America and Africa; the type remained in commercial service with some operators into the 2010s.
