History
Grob first flew the G 115 in 1985 as an all-composite two-seat light trainer. The strengthened, aerobatic G 115E was selected for British military elementary training. It is operated under contract rather than owned outright by the RAF.
Variants
Several civil G 115 models exist; the military G 115E Tutor is the strengthened aerobatic version with a constant-speed propeller and military avionics.
Where you'll see it
The Tutor is the standard aircraft of the RAF University Air Squadrons and Air Experience Flights, giving cadets and students their first taste of flying. It is operated across the UK on behalf of the RAF, Royal Navy and Army.
