The Hall PH-1 is an all-metal twin-engine biplane patrol flying boat notable for its all-aluminium construction by the Hall Aluminum Company, offering improved corrosion resistance over fabric-covered designs. It served with the US Navy in the early 1930s.

History
Hall Aluminum specialised in metal aircraft construction, and the PH-1 brought duralumin structural design to the patrol flying boat role. Its metal skin proved more durable in marine environments, though the biplane configuration was already approaching obsolescence by the time it entered service.
Variants
The PH series continued with the PH-2 and PH-3 which served with the US Coast Guard; Hall Aluminum produced relatively small numbers of each variant.
Where you'll see it
The PH-1 served with the US Navy; later PH-2 and PH-3 variants were operated by the US Coast Guard for search and rescue duties into the early 1940s.
