The IAR-15 was Romania's first indigenously developed fighter aircraft, produced by Industria Aeronautică Română in the early 1930s. It represented a significant step in Romanian aviation self-sufficiency.

History
IAR designed the IAR-15 in the early 1930s, drawing on French and Polish design influences. The aircraft entered limited service with the Romanian Air Corps. It was soon supplemented and replaced by more modern designs including the IAR-80 series in the late 1930s.
Variants
The IAR-16 was a developed variant with a more powerful engine.
