The IAR 14 was a Romanian single-seat biplane fighter of the early 1930s, representing Romania's early efforts to develop indigenous combat aircraft through the Industria Aeronautică Română factory.

History

Developed in the early 1930s as part of Romania's military aviation modernisation programme, the IAR 14 was evaluated by the Romanian Air Corps alongside imported types. It laid the groundwork for later IAR fighters that would serve in World War II.

Variants

The IAR 14 was followed by improved versions; the IAR 15 and IAR 16 refined the design.
