The Just Aircraft SuperSTOL is an extreme STOL kit aircraft capable of taking off and landing in remarkably short distances through full-span leading-edge slats and large-chord flaperons. It is designed specifically for backcountry and off-airport operations.

History
Just Aircraft of Walhalla, South Carolina introduced the SuperSTOL around 2010 as a development of their Highlander design with enhanced STOL features. The full-span leading-edge slats, borrowed conceptually from the Zenith CH 701, allow extremely low stall speeds. The steel tube and aluminium frame with fabric covering follows proven bush aircraft construction practice.
Variants
The Highlander is the standard variant without the full STOL package; the SuperSTOL XL adds a wider fuselage for greater cabin volume.
Where you'll see it
SuperSTOLs are beginning to appear on the UK LAA permit register and attract considerable interest at LAA fly-ins for their dramatic short-field demonstrations.
